Along with many other thermal experiences the laconium was invented by the Romans as a start to "The Spa Journey" a laconium is usually heated to 65˚ C.
The heat is very gentle being produced by heating the walls, benches and foot stools giving the body a deep warming sensation. Unlike the sauna or steam room a laconium can be used for longer periods of time, these quiet rooms or spaces around the spa area benefits the spa user giving the feeling of relaxation and wellbeing.
Aromas can be added to these spaces giving the spa user the perfect place to relax in-between thermal treatments.
